About This Place

Located in the heart of Woodland Hills, California, Topanga Pizza is a vibrant Italian restaurant that masterfully blends the traditional flavors of Italy with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Specializing in a broad spectrum of Italian cuisine, from crispy pizzas to hearty pastas and fresh salads, this spot offers a culinary journey that excites the senses with every bite.

At Topanga Pizza, the menu is a treasure trove of authentic, thoughtfully crafted dishes. Their 16” Large Pizza with Anchovy & Mushroom delights with its perfect balance of umami-rich toppings atop a golden, chewy crust. If you prefer something lighter and packed with freshness, the Antipasto Salad bursts with the crispness of the garden’s best, dressed delicately in homemade Italian vinaigrette. Seafood lovers will find joy in the Calamari Fritti—lightly fried to a golden crisp and tender inside—and the shrimp in pink sauce pizza offers a sophisticated twist on the classic pie.

Pastas like the robust, savory Spaghetti Bolognese and the indulgent Meat Lasagna promise layers of rich flavors, combining tender meat with creamy cheeses and perfectly seasoned sauces. Not to be missed are the house favorites like Chicken Parmigiana with Spinach and the comforting Eggplant Parmesan, each dish brimming with the kind of warmth and heartiness that feels like a loving Italian nonna cooked it just for you.

Topanga Pizza doesn't just stop at traditional plates—their menu extends to a variety of delectable hot subs such as the indulgent Meat Ball Sub and the flavorful Monster Sub, piled high with Italian sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, and ham. For families, the restaurant offers thoughtful specials like the 4 Person Special, which combines a large pepperoni pizza with generous servings of spaghetti, salads, and garlic-oil rolls, making it an ideal choice for sharing comfort and joy around the table.

One of the most remarkable things about dining at Topanga Pizza is the consistency of quality and care that shines through. Customers rave about the freshness of ingredients, the genuine, rich tomato sauces that don’t require extra toppings, and the perfectly baked dough that’s both crispy and tender. The cheesy garlic bread serves as the perfect appetizer or side, releasing intoxicating aromas that set the mood for a memorable meal.

The atmosphere here strikes a balance between casual family dining and an inviting neighborhood hangout. Reviewers consistently highlight the friendly, attentive service and the staff’s ability to make every guest feel at home from the very first visit. The family-oriented spirit is palpable, enhanced by the restaurant’s own delivery team and dedicated app, showing their commitment to customer care and convenience.

Whether you’re craving fresh, vibrant salads like their Cucumber Salad or hearty classics such as Lasagna with Sausage, Topanga Pizza promises a feast that satisfies both traditionalists and those eager to explore Italian culinary delights. Even the dessert offerings, like the silky Chocolate Mousse, provide a sweet finale that perfectly complements the savory meal.

While many praise the culinary excellence, a few note challenges with parking and accessibility, but these minor concerns hardly overshadow the overall dining experience. The love and dedication poured into every dish and interaction make Topanga Pizza much more than a restaurant—it’s a cherished community staple where great food meets heartfelt hospitality.

If you find yourself in Woodland Hills craving authentic Italian flavors with a modern, family-friendly twist, Topanga Pizza is a destination that doesn’t disappoint. Dive into their mouthwatering menu and savor each bite knowing you’re enjoying the best of Southern California’s Italian culinary scene.

Excellent pizza. I asked for hot sauce and ranch because I thought it was gonna be like normal pizza, but I was wrong. The ingredients are high quality, the dough is delicious, and the sauce is so good that if you put something else on top, honesty, you're ruining it, maybe a good olive oil but no more. recommended!

Tried Topanga Pizza and ordered The Works pizza, an antipasto salad, and chicken Parmesan. Everything was delicious. The pizza was loaded with toppings, the antipasto salad was fresh, and the chicken Parmesan was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Delicious crispy & flavorful pizza and pasta. Recommend Cucumber Salad, Spinach Lasagne, Meat Sauce Lasagne, Pizza, Gnocchi w/Shiitake Mushroom sauce, Roma Pasta, Antipasto Salad, Gorzonola.Caesar.Salad, Garlic Rolls. Service is excellent. Delivery has been great and they used their own delivery staff so love that. BONUS: have their own app so accrue points!

Food is fantastic. Great menu variety and reasonable prices. The servers work really well together and it shows. They have made us feel like regulars since our very first visit. My husband is addicted to the clam sauce and the Cesar dressing. Oh, and the rolls. The garlic oil is so good. The only complaint is parking and handicapped access. The walkway in front of restaurant is blocked by plants making it very unsafe for a wheelchair or walker. The curb right in front of door is narrow and concrete is chipped making it a scary ride to turn into the door for anyone in a wheelchair.

Never fails. This place always has great food. And this time was no different. Excellent. Only thing I'd like to see again is some veal choices again. Everything was great and seafood is always fresh. This time, we got the seafood risotto it is absolutely delicious.

June 2024 Oh YES! This Hidden Gem of a place knows how to please. I have passed by this place so many times, without even knowing it was there. Tucked away about 100ft off Ventura boulevard, in a small shopping center, lies this little slice of heaven... literally. I came in for the pizza this time, my first time, and I was quite impressed. Ordered the large, and figured I'd have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. It's a solid 16 inches in diameter. The price for a three topping was about $27 and change with tax and all that. Crust: it's thin enough (1/4") for the California Weight Watcher types, but also thick enough for those Detroit thicker crust peeps. And crispy! It's flour, water, salt and yeast, very natural tasting for sure. This is real dough. Topanga Pizza is NOT like those other places that I've been to which use a pre-made, restaurant supply product. On the contrary, I can tell that the dough here was probably made in a batch this morning, or maybe yesterday, which is even better. Then you get some of that tangy fermenting action going on. Toppings: they don't skimp, that's for sure lots of toppings, lots of each topping, and even distribution of the toppings. The toppings, the whole toppings, and nothing but the toppings... so help me God. Lol. Mushrooms, fresh, check. Sausage, like it was hand cut out of the casing, check. Anchovy, straight out of a Sardinian small town. Maybe not. Lol. But still good! I love that briny, salty burst of flavor every now and then. Cheese: stretchy and real. It pulls, stretches, and then tears. Those are all telltale signs that it's real, not imitation. I also love the fact that you do get a little "oil sweating" going on, to add a little more flavor when the cheese melts. Fat = Flavor. So in my opinion, just a little bit of oily is okay. Sauce, perfect layering, not too much, not too little. Tangy! And thank goodness they didn't use too much oregano. Every legitimate pizza spot I've been to uses a very small amount, and Topanga Pizza nailed it. It's not overly garlicky, or salty, or herbaceous. The Sauce flavor profile is very well-rounded. Price: there is value here. I think the $27 & change I paid definitely justifies what I got in return. I mean they have to make money too, just like everyone else. But I feel like prices here are comparable to other Pizza spots in the neighborhood. The difference here is that you're getting real dough, and more toppings, and better quality overall. So the $27 price to me is Justified. Parking: I came in here mid-afternoon, after the lunch crowd, but before the dinner crowd. I feel like there were definitely a few open spots for sure. There's also that weird new diagonal parking out on Ventura Boulevard if you decide to sit-in for your dining experience. Carry out here is pretty simple, and there is a traffic light at the entrance, to make your left turn into the parking lot that much easier. Service & Staff: On point, friendly with a smile. I got a sense that everyone working here really enjoys their job, they like doing what they do, and they're happy to come to work everyday. Whoever specifically made my pizza, nailed the perfect 360° ark. Same thickness of the crust all the way around. Bravo! Atmosphere: there were a couple of older couples in the place when I walked in the door to pick up my pizza. I'd say it's a family style place, but something low-key if you're trying to be on a casual date as well. Looks like it could be a good spot to maybe bring your kids to. There's plenty of room to walk around, and move in between the tables for sure. I'm very pleased with my experience here, and I definitely will be back to try some of their other menu items. The steamed mussels are calling my name next time. Garlic me up baby! Lol.
